The inn is just six houses from Hwy. 421 and the start of “The Snake” in Mountain City, TN. Don’t miss the hairpin turns and steep drop offs into the forest which surrounds this road. Curves, changes in elevation. Stop in Shady Valley and the general store at the crossroads. There are several other exciting roads in the region, including Hwy. 221 near Blowing Rock, NC. So spend a couple of days checking them out. Free paved parking available next to building (as shown).

Appalachian Caverns, Blountville, Tenn., 423-323-3227 Wild tours. Cave is home to six species of bats.
Linville Caverns, south of Linville, NC, in Marion NC , 828-756-4171, NC’s only commercial caverns. Open weekends Dec., Jan., and Feb., daily the rest of the year. It’s always 55 degrees underground!
Bristol Caverns, TN 423-878-2011 Paved, lighted walkways and an exciting history where Indians used the underground passages for stealth visits to the settlers land above.
