This is
the place to get away, NOT the place to stay connected. It's not for everyone*, just the few who appreciate the woods, the snows, the distance from maddening crowds, the time to turn off clocks and deadlines and replace urgency with reconnection. Here is a place to share time with loved ones and a closeness to Nature.
If you need wifi and a television, please book a room at the inn instead...

Amenities: Living Room-Dining Room: Gather in the living-dining-kitchen area with a bay window overlooking the woods. We saw more than a dozen wild turkies in the meadow just down the road this morning. Lounge on the leather sofa, kick back, bring your favorite board game or grab the rocking chair and read a book. Television has
both a VCR and DVD player but not commercial channels. The dinette table features teak chairs under a ceiling fan. The bay window frames a sunny view of the woods. A deck overlooks the front of the house. There's ample flat ground around the house to spread out a picnic. There are saucer-type sleds in the basement and old logging trails behind the house, leading up the Iron Mountain Trail (an Appalachian Trail-type route).
Kitchen: The kitchen has been updated withall new appliances, microwave and toaster oven. We provide all dishware, pots and pans, plus the basic paper and cleaning products. Basic condiments and coffee are included, too.
Master bedroom: The queen size bed (at left) is simple, light wood, complementing the creamy, rich curtains. It's all very soft and restful. We've added a twin bed for a child or to use as a day bed. This is a large room, which also comes
with a sunny view.
Second bedroom: Double bed (below left) with leaf-patterned linens complement the custom wall mural of a picket fence covered with vines, which serves as a headboard. The first-floor location is adjacent to thefirst floor bath, which has a shower and leafy patterned wallpaper.
